Future Proof

Future Proof 2019  |   Conference Identity & Titles

Student:
Joshua Gallindo

Project:
Mood & Tone
Design IV: Branding & Visual Systems
Ringling College of Art & Design

Student Approach:
Josh played with the ideas of illumination, discovery, and celebration with a vibrant palette, abstract lighting, and cosmic objects coming into alignment. Josh’s work was selected as the design for the inaugural Future Proof conference in 2019, hosted by Ringling’s Illustration, Motion Design and Graphic Design departments.

About this Assignment:
Students developed a title sequence for Ringling’s Motion Design conference, Future Proof. The intention of this project is to explore a situation when branding is not built about a logo, but rather establishes a mood and overall theme that can change every year (such as for a conference or awards show). This project also is the culmination of my. two design courses with the Juniors, in which we marry process-driven experimental work with systems-based branding work.
